DEPARTMENT: Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality LOCATION: Carrickfergus JOB TITLE: Health & Safety Advisor SALARY: Competitive RESPONSIBLE TO: HSEQ Manager MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To support and assist the HSEQ Manager in delivering a comprehensive Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist with the completion of HSEQ documentation and carry out risk assessments, COSHH assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Construction Phase Plans. To carry out site inspections/audits and conduct accident/incident investigations. Assist with the collation of the Operations & Maintenance information files. To assist with company IMS induction as and when required. Conduct workshop inspections in line with legal requirements. Assist with the issue and management of the internal audit plan and carry out audits as and when required. To attend relevant internal and external meetings as and when required. Provide relevant information for PQQ and tender submission. Assist with the management of the fleet and the FORS standard. To participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards. Any other duties required for the effective operation of the post as deemed by Management. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential Criteria At least 1 year relevant experience in a similar role. As this role will involve travelling around our sites, a valid clean driving licence and access to a car is essential. Willingness to travel to sites in the UK and Ireland. Good time management with the ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines. Ability to work on own initiative. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Effective communication skills at all levels. Desirable Criteria NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety. Valid CSR card. Valid membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or similar professional body.
