A prominent and reputable infrastructure contractor is looking for an SHEQ Advisor to join their department and help support the function across a range of exciting civil engineering schemes. This is a key role in driving SHEQ standards throughout their projects across in East Anglia and Northern Home Counties.
Reporting into the SHEQ Manager, you will be:
•Developing risk assessments and method statements and maintaining management system documentation
•Actively promoting a positive attitude towards Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters
•Experienced in site inspections and engaging site personnel in safety in challenging environments
•Liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required
•Well-versed with construction risk and identifying and mitigating on-site
•Carry out and evaluate risk assessments for specific tasks and write safe systems of work
•Maintaining/promote liaison with officials and professional bodies (e.g., HSE, ROSPA, IOSH, EA)
Home-based, you will also have:
•NEBOSH Construction (ESSENTIAL)
•NVQ Level 4/5/6 Diploma (preferable)
•Construction/Civil Engineering/Utilities site inspection experience (preferably within Highways and Infrastructure)
•Experience in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
•A self-motivated and autonomous manner
•IOSH membership
•The ability to adapt your ideas and approaches to suit changing priorities or solutions
