Outline of the role and project
We have an opportunity for a civils planner to join our planning team who cover projects across the UK & Ireland. You will be working alongside the Head of Planning, Senior Planners, Site Team & Contracts Managers to develop a detailed delivery & procurement schedule.
This role would see you being connected with a number of site offices working initially on our £49m water treatment works project. - A new underground reservoir is being built, capable of holding 20 million litres of treated water, new pumps, filters and tanks, as well as chemical dosing and plant washing facilities.
Location - South East region of the UK - First project is based in Beccles, Suffolk.
As a Planner you will be responsible for:
1. Responsible for all scheduling and planning activities as per tender and contract requirements
2. Create, maintain and review construction programmes and schedules
3. Fully understand project programmes and schedules and communicate to the wider team
4. Identify programme risks, make provision for them and apply solutions and problem-solving techniques
5. Liaise with management and engineers to review the progress of construction projects and address issues
6. Co-ordinate work activity with external contractors, third parties, suppliers and other stakeholders
7. Consult and negotiate with third parties including consultants, designers and developers as required
8. Monitor live projects through regular site inspections and provide progress reports to present to the project team, senior management and client as required
9. Develop and present written method statements and programme commentaries
10. Undertake; detailed analysis of delays in contract plans and report accordingly to line manager; a programme of projects revisions as and when required
11. To promote innovation in their work and drive improvements in the planning roles

Due to locations of some of your projects, it may mean that you are required to live away from home. We are here to make this as seamless as possible, therefore we cover all accommodation costs, provide you with a daily allowance and cover travels costs (as set out in our living away from home policy)
Your required Skills and Experience
20. Demonstrable experience within Planning working on civil engineering projects
21. Relevant education qualifications required
22. Competent user of P6, Asta Powerproject and the complete Microsoft office package
23. Proven experience of project and team management
24. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
