Job Title: Chef Manager
Location: Burnaston, Derby
Salary: £35,000
As a Chef Manager at Sodexo, you will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of catering services to our client organization, meeting both qualitative and financial targets. This role involves leading a dedicated catering team, upholding high standards of food service, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining food quality, driving customer satisfaction, and implementing marketing initiatives to enhance service delivery. Your leadership will motivate the team to deliver exceptional service while adhering to Sodexo policies and procedures. What you'll do:
1. Ensure that all food services meet the agreed client and Sodexo standards through effective team management.
2. Enforce health and safety compliance and monitor all related equipment.
3. Motivate and lead catering employees to perform at their best, fostering a positive work environment.
4. Drive margin improvement by adhering to recipes and managing the hospitality food offer.
5. Plan and execute marketing initiatives alongside the Business Manager to boost customer engagement.
What you bring:
1. Proven ability to cook and present high-quality food consistently.
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a catering team effectively.
3. Good understanding of PPDS, allergen laws, COSHH, and HACCP processes.
4. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
5. Relevant qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely or CIEH Level 3 are desirable but not essential.
