Job Summary
We are looking for people with an interest in working at Kilmardinny House Bearsden & Kirkintilloch Town Hall.
Kilmardinny House is a busy public building available for hire for events such as weddings, parties, social group activities, meetings and performances.
We are looking to recruit supply facilities assistants to support cleaning, building operations and health and safety duties across both buildings. As the first point of contact for visitors and customers, you will be outgoing, with a 'can do' attitude and will represent the service positively.
Applicants selected for interview must demonstrate a good knowledge of health and safety and risk assessments in relation to public buildings, and be committed to providing the highest level of customer service.
Working on your own initiative, you should manage your own time in carrying out the full range of tasks involved in the role, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance, day to day cleaning, including function areas, offices and toilets.
As a keyholder, you will ensure venues operate safely at all times and that spaces are prepared on time, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Hours are varied and can be between 7.30 am and 1.00 am depending on the scheduled business.

Where the post you are applying for is considered Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment.
Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment.
In specific circumstances, the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment, with approval from HR Services Lead.
Should an employee leave before the payment is fully deducted, the remaining amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.
