Your Role
We are looking for two enthusiastic team members to join Stockport Council’s Public Health team in delivering the national Cardiovascular Disease (heart) Workplace Pilot. Over the next 6 months we need to deliver 4,000 heart health checks across many different businesses in the area, supporting employees to understand their heart health and to make positive lifestyle changes.
Full training will be provided, including how to measure and interpret blood pressure readings, understanding lifestyle behaviours and the associated risks to heart health, supporting people to make positive changes.
About You
We are looking for compassionate and caring team members, with excellent communication skills, who have experience engaging with a wide variety of people in a calm and professional manner. You will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and have a commitment to supporting people to improve their own lives.
It would be desirable, but not essential, to have worked in delivering health promotions messages previously.
