We are a Fruit Packing Factory. As a Hygiene Operative, you will play an important role in PrepWorld. Working across all of the production areas, Hygiene Operatives are responsible for ensuring that all machines and the facility meet strict standards of hygiene at all times while working as part of the team. Making sure all designated areas are clean and tidy and relevant cleaning issues are adhered to.
Main Duties
* Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks and filling in paperwork.
* Ensuring PPE dispensers are filled.
* Cleaning of production lines and processing equipment to meet required standards, measured through testing of samples.
* Complying with company procedures for Hygiene, Food Safety, and H&S.
* Ensuring that your cleaning and personal protective equipment are functioning correctly at all times.
* Reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to your Team Leader/Section Leader.
* Returning all cleaning materials to the Hygiene store room in good condition at the end of cleaning.
* Reporting any damage to cleaning equipment or personal protective equipment to your Team Leader and Supervisor.
* Turning off and cleaning machinery in a safe and proper manner.
* The role involves some manual handling and the ability to withstand working in cold storage conditions on a daily basis.
* The role requires an alert disposition, working in the vicinity of forklifts and moving machinery.

Days and Hours of Work: Sunday to Wednesday, OR Wednesday to Saturday, 18:00 - 06:00 (Night shift).
Pay: Starting at £12.14 per hour (level 1) climbing to £12.60 per hour (level 2) and then £13.25 per hour (level 3) following a training and development plan.
