We are looking for Band 5 HCPC Registered Occupational Therapists to join our specialist Mental Health & Autism team within our dynamic and friendly Integrated Mental Health Teams.
You will support people with Mental Health conditions who also have ADHD, Autism, or have Neurodivergent traits.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate drive and motivation in providing recovery-based Occupational Therapy (OT) interventions, possessing the skills, knowledge, and passion to work with mental health service users and autistic individuals, contributing to the delivery of a package of care to promote recovery.
You will join a developing and innovative service that aims to provide the right care and treatment at the right time to individuals within each area. You will be part of an established multi-disciplinary team that emphasizes delivering evidence-based psychological interventions to meet the needs of individuals with secondary mental health needs in our neighborhood.
One role is based in Stafford and the other in Lichfield. Both roles are part-time, working 30 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. The role requires you to travel over a large geographical area, so you will require access to suitable transport for work purposes.
Main duties of the job
This role will give you a fantastic opportunity to utilize your skills as an Occupational Therapist to benefit both service users and the service as a whole.
* Take responsibility for the management of a complex caseload, including specialist assessment (within service specification), care planning in conjunction with service user and carer, and evaluation of individual treatment plans (Care Programme Approach and Single Assessment Process).
* Participate in setting quality standards, including auditing, monitoring, and reviewing practice in line with current clinical guidance and policy.
* Assess patients' individual care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
* Deliver a range of non-pharmacological interventions following specific occupational therapy assessments to enable understanding of any expression of an unmet need and to maximize an individual’s abilities.
* Provide support and supervision to an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
