First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Domestic Gas Supervisor to join their team.
As part of a heating maintenance team the post holder will be expected to provide a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to domestic heating installations and appliances in client properties. You will be able to analyse, fault find and carry out repairs and services in a professional manner and to a high standard in compliance with and in accordance with current regulation / legislation.
My client is a property maintenance and installation organisation, the Mechanical arm specialises in the servicing, repair and installation of gas central heating and hot water services to local authority and Housing Association landlords.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To support and monitor a team of operatives who service, repair, maintain and install gas and heating plant and appliances in buildings, properties and dwellings, working in accordance with
2. manufacturer’s instruction and guidance.
3. Main duties include assisting and advising members of the area Team on work progress servicing, general repair/maintenance of breakdowns of plant and associated equipment, including appliances and heating systems of client premises.
4. Ensure the correct resources and materials are supplied for each job.
5. Deliver all PPM and cyclical maintenance programmes, ensuring all records are updated within the NAV system and engineers PDA’s.
6. Monitor engineer’s performances and their time management through the management information available, engineer KPI’s, parts usage and management, resource and labour costs
7. including managing top up hours and advise the FOM on resource planning.
8. Ensure the security and correct operation of plant and equipment supplied, to include vehicles, flue gas analysis meters and mobile data equipment i.e. PDA’s.
9. Ensure all certification and documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with Data Protection and Information Security regulations.
10. Able to identify training needs for engineers and implement where necessary.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
11. ACS qualifications.
12. Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
13. IOSH 1-day ‘Working Safely’ Training Certificate (or equivalent).
14. Previous experience in diagnosing faults on domestic gas central heating systems.
15. Minimum 3 years experience.
16. Previous experience in diagnosing faults on domestic gas central heating systems.
17. Previous experience in similar role.
18. Full driving licence.
Desirable:
19. Significant experience in a customer service type role, dealing directly with the public.
20. Gas Safety.
