Job summary two whole time Clinical Research Fellows to the General Surgery Department based at the Northern General Hospital with an additional Honorary Contract with the University of Sheffield. The appointment is to commence October 2025 for a fixed term period of 12 months renewable for a further 12 months if mutually agreed. MRCS or equivalent is essential. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required. The duties of this post are equivalent to ST3 level. Main duties of the job The appointee will have 1 clinical day per week as well as being on the ST3 non elective rota block. The rest of the time will be spent by the appointee on their research project as well as assisting with the Directorate's recruitment to the wider research portfolio.
