Department of Business Management Pathways
The Senior Lecturer in Business Management role will sit within the Department of Business Management Pathways which is one of the biggest departments within Arden University. We have a fantastic team of Academics that are teaching a variety of Business Management courses.
The Role – Senior Lecturer in Business Management
The growth of the Department for Business Management Pathways means that we need to recruit excellent Senior Business lecturers to ensure ongoing success. As a Senior Business Lecturer for blended learning, you will also represent the University and its values.
As a Senior Business Management Lecturer, you will:
1. Co-ordinate and line manage academic teams, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of programmes.
2. Lead on the development of new programmes and the review of existing programmes.
3. Conduct teaching and training activities (both face to face and online).
4. Lead, develop and monitor students, enhancing the student experience and improving outcomes.
5. Ensure levels of consistency and quality in module leadership and develop learning materials.
6. Manage assessment marking and development, ensuring quality feedback and evaluation processes.
7. Innovate in teaching practice, support, and assessment.
About You:
We would like to hear from applicants who have:
1. Master’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject.
2. A recognised HE Teaching Qualification and/or Advance HE Fellowship at FHEA/SFHEA level or commitment to gain this recognition within 12 months.
3. Evidence of CPD to enhance knowledge and teaching capability.
4. Excellent breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline/subject area.
5. Ability to contribute to and lead the development of new programmes and/or modules.
6. Ability to design course materials and assess programmes within a quality framework.
7. Writing high-quality analytical reports for PSRBs.
8. Highly skilled in teaching, learning and assessment methods appropriate to a UK Higher Education context.
9. Demonstrable ability to deliver training and contribute to academic professional development.
10. Understanding of relevant University HEI procedures and policies.
