We are helping a well-respected school in the Milton Keynes area find a Design & Technology Teacher to join their team. This respected secondary school, situated in the heart of Milton Keynes, is committed to providing an engaging and high-quality education. The school encourages students to explore their potential and develop critical technical skills through a robust Design and Technology (D&T) curriculum.
The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join their D&T department. The ideal candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for teaching, a deep understanding of the subject, and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities in areas such as product design, resistant materials, and digital technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that foster creativity, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills.
2. Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where students can develop confidence in using tools, materials, and digital technologies.
3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continued development of the D&T department.
5. Actively participate in extracurricular activities and initiatives to inspire a passion for Design and Technology beyond the classroom.
Qualifications:
1. A relevant degree in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
3. Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary school level, with expertise in areas such as product design, materials, or CAD/CAM.
4. Strong communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to inspiring student achievement.
5. A passion for continuous professional development and staying current with educational and technological advancements.
6. An Enhanced DBS on the update service.
