Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London, with an estimated 615.5 million global followers.
Led by the late great Bill Nicholson, the Club became the first in England to win the League and FA Cup Double in 1961, and the first in the UK to win a European Trophy two years later. Spurs has since been home to some of the game's great entertainers, including Jimmy Greaves, Glenn Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne, David Ginola, Gareth Bale, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.
In April 2019, the Club opened an iconic new stadium that sits at the heart of a £1 billion sport-led regeneration of North Tottenham. The stadium is the largest football club stadium in London and is a multi-use venue with the ability to host a variety of events 365 days a year, including NFL, boxing, rugby, concerts and other major events, plus visitor attractions including Stadium Tours and the Dare Skywalk.
The stadium development scheme has to date created more than 4,000 new jobs for local people, with circa £300m pumped into the local economy each year.

The dedicated Lead Development Coach will work closely with the Next Generation Programme Coordinator to plan, deliver and review sessions on the Next Generation Programme to ensure that world-class delivery is provided to a minimum of 21,500 participants across primary schools, youth clubs and special events across the season. Additionally, this will require leading sessions across our domestic player development programme venues and independent school partnerships.
The position will involve working irregular hours (e.g., evenings / Saturdays / Sundays / Bank Holidays) so a flexible candidate is sought.
Job Purpose
Assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of coaching sessions ensuring that all sessions are delivered to a consistently high standard, providing an inclusive learning environment in which all players can develop.
The post-holder will also be required to support broader Spurs Football Development programmes when directed to deliver world-class football experiences for domestic/international partners, and participants, to support the growth and development of the wider department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coaching
Deliver a structured football programme within school and youth club environments aligned with the Spurs Football Development coaching syllabus, coaching cycle, and development.
2. Deliver on broader domestic/international Spurs Football Development programmes when required E.g., Evening Player Development Programmes, Next Generation festivals, Group Day Experiences, Premier Days, Special Events, Internationals.
3. Provide flexible support to broader Club events either internationally within Spurs Football Development E.g., Independent school fixtures/festivals, or within the broader Club E.g., Matchday activation and/or Partnership events. This may involve working irregular hours (e.g., evenings / Saturdays / Sundays / Bank Holidays).
4. Identify talented footballers and report via the Club talent identification process.
5. Mentor student coaches involved in the department's Coaching Development Programme (CDP).
6. Deliver coach education programmes and presentations as directed by Next Generation Programme.
7. Research current trends of coaching and continually look for ways to develop and improve your own coaching and best practice within all Spurs Football Development.
8. Build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including fellow coaches, school staff, and.
1. Operations
Actively engage with and develop strong relationships with school and youth club contacts to schedule sessions and.
2. Support risk management and mitigation at all external events. This includes conducting dynamic and generic risk assessments as directed by Head Coach.
3. Assist with programme specific duties required to support the planning of session delivery including any equipment and logistical/operational.
4. Assist in a timely manner with the collection and presentation of any data for reporting purposes to demonstrate the impact of delivery at your respective venues/partner schools.
5. Actively promote broader GFD programmes and engagement opportunities across the Club to encourage participants and/or parents to continue engaging with the Club beyond Next Gen.

Safeguarding
1. Work alongside the Club Safeguarding Manager's and college DSLs to champion safeguarding, maintaining practices in-line with the Club's Safeguarding policies.
2. Assist with all accident, incident, and risk management reporting, ensuring that all concerns are reported on my concern within 24 hours.
3. Actively promote and raise awareness of safer working practices within your programmes, disseminating information to your team and modelling best practice to.
4. Actively keep up to date with current and new safeguarding training and practices, including the FA's Safeguarding Children qualification and the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
