Job Description:
Purpose of the Job:
Project DRIVE is a company-wide transformation programme to fundamentally change how Rotork operates by implementing a single IT platform (D365) underpinned by consistent processes across all functions across the business.
You will be accountable for developing and maintaining a detailed programme plan, be a planning expert, offer support and assurance to programme and project managers, while managing cross DRIVE interdependencies. This position is critical for warning where planning contention and risk appears, so we remain on track.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
* Develop, maintain, and update a detailed and comprehensive programme plan, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and timelines.
* Track and monitor progress against the programme plan, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
* Provide expert planning support (guidance, tools, templates, and oversight) to programme and project managers, ensuring plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with overarching programme goals.
* Conduct regular reviews of project plans to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to defined planning methods and standards, and highlight potential risks, planning contention, or schedule conflicts and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
* Develop and manage a DRIVE dependencies management approach that regularly reviews new and existing dependencies and risks related to interdependencies, ensuring they are actively managed and addressed in a timely manner.
* Provide regular updates on planning status, key milestones, and interdependency risks to programme leadership.
Qualifications & Technical knowledge:
* Familiarity with programme management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). ‘Managing Successful Programmes’ (MSP) or alternative qualification an advantage.
* Advanced skills in developing, maintaining, and managing detailed programme and project plans using Microsoft Project as a main planning tool, and being able to consolidate multiple plans into an integrated programme plan.
* Proven experience in planning and scheduling within large-scale transformation programmes.
* Experience in implementing standardised planning methods & standards across a large programme and providing expert-level support to project managers.
* Strong background in managing programme dependencies and resolving planning conflicts across multiple workstreams.
* Experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a complex programme environment.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate risks and their potential impact on programme delivery, and the ability to clearly communicate (written or verbal) impacts and schedule progress.
* Ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
