MFT’s Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) service provides specialist advice and support regarding employee health and mental health issues to MFT employees and managers as well as to a variety of external clients. The EHW Service continues to provide an efficient, highly professional and cost-effective service whilst focusing activity on meeting the common challenges faced by a large Acute NHS Trust; we now look after over 30,000 employees making us the biggest Trust in the UK.
To further develop our multidisciplinary team, we are seeking to recruit a Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join our Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health Service (PWMHS). We are looking for a professional with proven expertise in Clinical Psychology who has a passion for improving and supporting employee mental and physical health and an interest in and experience with working with trauma. The post-holder will work alongside our expert colleagues to deliver high-quality services which are fully integrated within the wider EHW Service model.
The EHW Service is a multidisciplinary team comprising of Senior Managers, Fitness for Work Advisers, Clinical Nurses, Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrist, Consultant OH Physician, Physiotherapists and Public Health Specialists. Working together with our Service Support team, our main priority is to create a dynamic approach to maximise employee health, wellbeing and productivity.
The post holder must be a qualified Clinical Psychological Practitioner and able to demonstrate that they can work at a senior level. The post holder will have a passion for occupational health and psychology in the workplace, acting as a specialist, clinician, educator, adviser and advocate.
Working in close collaboration with the Assistant Director, Clinical Lead Psychologist, Head of Fitness for Work Services and the wider EHW team, the role will support the development and implementation of strategic plans to further enhance the EHW service. They will provide specialist clinical expertise to support the delivery of innovative, progressive and value-adding services which are safe, efficient, effective and responsive to internal and external demands. The role will help to empower our managers and staff to have confidence and capability when considering the impact of health at work. Acting as a change agent and role model, to ensure good working relationships and a positive psychological wellbeing and mental health at work culture.
The role will actively contribute to the development of multidisciplinary pathways and the wider OH profession, raising the profile and impact of the Employee Health and Wellbeing Service, both internally and externally.
