Senior Specialist Respiratory Nurse Lead
12 month Secondment (option available)
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an lead specialist nurse within Respiratory/Thoracic Medicine. The successful applicant will work closely with the respiratory consultants to provide specialist care and support to patients with a diagnosis of Respiratory illnesses such as bronchiectasis, Asthma, COPD etc. This will include assessment and monitoring of patients through clinics and running effective patient initiated follow ups.
The Respiratory Department in complex running a successful Faster Diagnostic Service, lung function diagnostic team, RESPS team and an increasing multi-disciplinary workforce.
We are looking for someone with proven experience working with respiratory patients and a good understanding of respiratory illness and disease. The role will involve close MDT working and liaison with tertiary centres so excellent communication skills would be required.
You will need to show your commitment, enthusiasm and drive to develop your own clinical, managerial and team working skills within the service. You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, work autonomously and be able to demonstrate effective teamwork. You will be supported through regular team meetings, 1-1 sessions and ongoing education and development.
