Support Worker

We are looking for people to join our friendly and welcoming team in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire where you will have the opportunity to enhance people’s lives.
We deliver creative, dynamic and person centred services providing a range of individualised support to people living in a Supported living service.
About the role
You will be supporting individuals with physical and learning disabilities within their own homes and out in the community.
The role will involve support with:
Personal care
Moving and handling
Day to day tasks, such as: cooking, cleaning, shopping
Attending health appointments
Budgeting and managing their finances
Trips to visit friends and families
Supporting individuals to go to volunteer placements, groups and clubs, cinema, bowling, playing pool and other activities they enjoy doing or wish to try
Supporting with activities including walking and swimming so must be happy to walk in all weathers and enjoy swimming as several of the people we support go swimming weekly.
Shift Pattern and working hours:
Shifts include days evenings and weekends.
The early shifts start at 7.15 am
The late shifts finish at 10 pm
Previous experience is desirable for this position although full training will be provided. You will be expected to work in Portlethen, Stonehaven and Aberdeenshire. Part of your training will include several shadow shifts with an experienced member of staff.
