Client: A leading cosmetic firm based in Bristol, UK Job Title: Supply Chain Planning Manager Location: Avonmouth, Bristol (3 Days Hybrid work) What this person will be doing: The Supply & Inventory Planning Manager will lead a team to manage and optimize inventory levels, ensuring the right products are available at the right time. They will oversee supply chain processes, work closely with suppliers, forecast inventory needs, and improve existing systems and procedures. The role involves analyzing data, setting performance goals, and driving changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, while also mentoring team members and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities & Actions: Manage Supply Planning team (6 direct reports) – team KPIs, team development Generate/manage Supply Plan for Key Vendors Work with local DCs to ensure correct inventory Lead and present the monthly Supply Plan as part of the Global S&OP Process Owns day-to-day vendor relationships. Managing day-to-day supplier relationships and supporting senior supply planners with forecasting. Handling inventory and inventory reporting Annual KPI negotiations Manage invoice query resolution. Forecasting spend with suppliers/ inventory projections - will be working closely with Demand planning manager Provide recommendations on products and find solutions with vendors ( Nice to have) Starting with focusing on UK and then eventually working on Global scale Selling points: Concentrating on UK inventory initially, with eventual responsibility for global inventory optimization. Recommending and implementing strategies for global inventory optimization and improving supplier relationships.
