An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Stock Controller/ Cellar management to join an exclusive 5* members club in the heart of fashionable Mayfair. The client is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere and are looking for experienced Cellar person/Stock Controller who can meet the high standards needed for their establishment. Due to the demand to servicing their discerning clients, they are looking for like minded individuals who have worked in similar 5* hotels, restaurants or members clubs with experience as a Stock controller to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Description
As a Stock Controller/ Cellar Person you will be responsible for:
* In charge of weekly & monthly stock takes
* Taking in deliveries
* Checking invoices and data management
* Control of wastage
* Be commercially minded
* Stock ordering and liaising with different F&B departments
* Planning, organising and coming up with creative working ideas
* Passionate about inventory control
* Making sure everything is in order and cellar management policies and procedures are maintained
* Have a good understanding about wines & spirits
* Be able to think on their feet and come up with conclusive ideas
* Identifying problems and reacting to resolve the issues
* Be able to deal with discrepancies and come up with remedial actions
The Ideal candidate will be:
* Experienced in a similar high end restaurant or hotel/private members background
* Must have a good understanding about cellar management
* Understanding of working in a quality environment
* Must have experience in stock taking & inventories
* Be able to work in a high demanding environment
* Used to dealing with different F&B departments
* Able to demonstrate clear instructions to the senior management team
* Good understanding about wines & spirits
* Be able to multi task
* This role entails carrying of heavy good so good physical condition is an advantage
* Must be flexible in working hours
* Dealing with Directors
* Supplier knowledge is an advantage
* Communicates regularly, efficiently, and effectively with team members
* Be proactive and being able to think on their feet
The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving & organising the cellar management/stock control and a proven track record in the high end restaurant/hotel or members club background.
