Job Description
Work with a family-run business with experienced and compassionate staff who are committed to quality care and support.
Your role will include:
1. You will be responsible to the Senior Carer/Care Coordinator and through her/him to the Home Care Manager.
2. To be reliable, punctual, and conscientious in visiting Service Users in their own homes and providing a range of services, which will require you to work flexibly and unsocial hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
3. To abide by and uphold the Company’s ethics regarding equal opportunities and Service User choice.
4. Establish a supportive relationship with the Service User and their carers.
5. Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
6. Attend Staff Meetings.
7. Report to your line Manager any concerns related to Service Users, Health & Safety.
8. Assist Senior Carer/Care Coordinators and the Home Care Manager in completing and updating Care Plans.
9. Abide by legislative duties regarding Quality and Safeguarding.
10. Bring to the attention of your line manager any concerns relating to Service Users, yourself, or other staff members.
11. Comply with all Company policies and procedures, especially regarding Health & Safety and the no lifting policy.
12. Undertake training to meet legislative requirements.
13. Complete the Company’s administration procedures and report writing accurately and on time.
14. Follow the Company’s dress code, including wearing the uniform and ID badge.
15. Cover for colleagues during holidays or sick leave.
16. Work responsibly in isolated situations with Service Users and report any health, safety, hazards, or risks.
17. Perform any other relevant tasks as designated by the Company.

Training
Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organizations. It has a Grade 2 'Good' Ofsted rating and an achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average. Learners are supported through regular check-ins with their assigned Personal Tutor. The employer agrees to allocate 20% of working hours to study, facilitating high achievement. Upon completion of this 12-month apprenticeship, you will earn an Adult Care Worker – Level 2 Apprenticeship.
