3rd Line Support Engineer
Location: Corsham, Wiltshire (3 days in the office)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Benefits
Role Type: Full time / Permanent
As a Third Line Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The role provides third line support to the network, undertaking fault investigations and performing upgrades and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expertise knowledge in the design and implementation of Internet Protocol (IP) networks and a knowledge of satellite communications systems.
2. Respond to customer faults and network incidents.
3. Manage the installation and configuration of new system elements.
4. Test and commission new equipment and services.
5. Ensure new services and systems meet UK security requirements.
6. Manage obsolescence within the existing system to ensure the system remains supportable and compliant to security requirements.
7. Provide third line support to operations teams.
This position involves manual work, which may include lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods of time.
Essential Experience:
1. Experience in the design and delivery of IP communication networks, ideally with Cisco accreditation.
2. Knowledge of satellite communications technology would be an advantage.
3. Experience working at a telecoms or satellite communication company.
Qualifications:
1. Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
