The MISTRAS Group design, manufacture and install Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems for critical infrastructures globally. The SHM Systems are designed to monitor the integrity of various structures, such as bridges, wind turbines, oil rigs and other Oil and Gas structures to identify damage mechanisms and behaviours in order to look out for early warning of potential damage caused by the environments they operate in. This is an exciting full time, permanent position. The role of the QHSE Lead is to provide support and legislative direction by assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of the integrated management system (IMS) for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment processes and procedures, primarily in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001. The role is also responsible for, but not limited to, undertaking incident investigations, risk assessments, conducting QHSE audits and compiling and analysing data for reporting purposes together with facilities management. Responsibilities: Lead in the ongoing operation and maintenance of the IMS, including : Reviewing existing QHSE processes with stakeholders, identifying areas where processes are absent or deficient and developing a core set of operational procedures to be implemented. Supporting the implementation and ongoing communication of the IMS system across the company as directed. Coaching existing and new staff members on the use of the IMS. Ensuring all documentation and processes captured within the IMS are reviewed and updated, when necessary, in line with the company’s review schedule. Monitor performance and compliance with the IMS using a mixture of KPI driven metrics and communicate to the wider management team (UK/International) at agreed frequencies. In collaboration with the UK Management Team, lead on developing and tracking management goals in line with the requirements of the ISO certification. Managing the investigation process for reported incidents, including: Reviewing incoming incident reports and undertaking investigation into the incidents in line with MISTRAS internal procedures. Producing written reports with findings and proposed corrective actions and improvements. Keeping records of investigations in line with data protection and internal document management requirements. Conduct and support system and site audits at company facilities, customer work sites and subcontractors including: Ensuring audits are conducted using ISO methodology in line with the audit schedule Keeping records of audits in line with internal document management requirements Attend, support or manage external audits from customers, consultants and accredited bodies as required by ensuring related documentation is up to date and maintained in accordance with those standards. Lead on all facilities contracts and sustainability matters, including: Support on management of contracts associated with the environmental impact of MISTRAS UK, including but not limited to utilities providers, vehicle utilisation (tracking systems) etc. Tracking metrics associated with business sustainability.
