Role responsibilities
The Contracts Advisor supports the promotion and execution of robust contract management processes and procedures across Transport for Wales (TfW) by providing support to contract owners and contributing to the ongoing evaluation of contract performance to ensure that commercial and contract risks are being are managed and mitigated effectively.
1. Provide day to day contract management administration by inputting and maintaining data accuracy into various systems to ensure the team and contract owners have all the appropriate data required to support and enable informed decisions, and monitor spend against budgets and contracted values.
2. Perform regular analysis of the contract management Power BI dashboard suite by interpreting the data and proactively identifying exceptions that pose commercial and financial risk and acting on those exceptions in a timely manner to mitigate the risk.
3. Responding to contract queries from contract owners by providing advice relating to contract management activities, assist in tracking and addressing budget consumption, and provide support for non-complex performance issues with suppliers to ensure timely resolutions.
4. Drafting contract changes (excluding Infrastructure and Grant Agreement) for review by the Contract Manager by liaising with contract owners to identify requirements and justify the change and collating all necessary commercial information and financial approvals to ensure changes are commercially binding.

5. Demonstrable experience of managing or working with contracts in a commercial, procurement or supply chain environment.
6. Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with a variety of parties to deliver successful business outcomes.
7. Effective communicator, able to present and explain options to others, and confidently respond to queries or challenges.
8. Experience of analysing data to interpret information and identify trends.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
