Geotechnical Engineer I am looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with extensive design experience to come and join a growing team in Motherwell, sitting alongside the established civil/structural department, supporting the wider Geotechnical team across the UK for a large-scale engineering design consultancy.

Due to an increase in workload, specifically across Scotland, the Geotechnical team are looking at expanding with a Geotechnical Engineer to help with growth and deliverables for a range of projects crossing the rail and electrification/power sector across the UK, giving you an extremely diverse range of geology, rock hazards and ground conditions making your portfolio very interesting.
Your work as a Geotechnical Engineer will consist of writing/revieing desk studies, risk assessments, foundation assessments, piling/earthworks specs, as well as designing across all aspects of slopes, foundations and walls etc.
As a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate: A degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (or equivalent).
Progress toward chartered status (ICE, GeolSoc, or IMMM).
Ability to use a range of geotechnical software/FE for the design of civil engineering projects including the following: deep and shallow foundations (including pile group analysis); embedded and gravity retaining walls; earthworks/slope stability; reinforced earthworks etc.
Knowledge of Eurocodes, CDM regulations, and health & safety standards.
