Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll have the autonomy to efficiently manage day-to-day operations, ensuring effective budget management, efficiency, and service standards. With a 37.5-hour workweek (Monday to Friday), you'll take ownership of a dynamic environment where leadership, direction, and guidance drive our success,
* Reporting directly to the General Manager. you will manage the day to day operation to ensure effective management of the budget, efficiency and service standards of the total operation.
* Manage all aspects of performance to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs.
* Responsible for Quality, Safety, Health and environment and all legal compliance within the operation.
* Playing a vital role in shaping the culture and approach of the workforce. This will include supporting and developing the team through leading, coaching and communicating - facilitating a focus on business excellence and continuous improvement of operational efficiency and customer service standards.
* Planning, reviewing and communicating operational requirements and changes across departments, so that KPI's and customer service levels are met.
* Develop and implement new initiatives for continued operational and service improvements.
* Preparation of operational plans within budgets for inspection activities.
Proven management experience of operating within a commercial operation.
* Past operating experience within multi site logistics operations.
* Experience in managing employee relations and customer/trading relations.
* Exposure to operating within a commercial environment sufficient to develop effective customer service and commercial understanding.
* People management and line management experience.
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Legal compliance.
