We are working alongside our client, a well-established and highly regarded Not-For-Profit organisation who operate within the financial services sector. They are now seeking to recruit a permanent, full time Finance Manager, to take control of their entire accounts function, overseeing 2 other members of staff. This is a band new role, just created, so is one you can stamp your identity on, and make it your own – aside from the fantastic package on offer, you will also be part of a company that are genuinely changing and improving lives of people throughout the Sheffield region. Ideally, you will be a qualified Finance professional, with exposure either within the Financial Services marketplace, or within a Charity or Not-For Profit organisation. Duties will include – 1. Financial Management Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with organizational goals. 2. Strategic Planning and Analysis Collaborate with the CEO and senior management team to inform and develop long-term financial strategies. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue growth. Prepare financial reports, including variance analysis, cash flow projections, and performance metrics. 3. Compliance and Audit Ensure adherence to financial regulations and statutory requirements, including FCA and PRA regulations. Prepare for and manage annual audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely and accurate completion. Implement internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk and ensure operational efficiency. 4. Cash Flow and Investment Management Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operations and maintain liquidity. Oversee investment activities and advise the senior team on prudent investment options that align with the company’s mission. Monitor interest rate risk and make recommendations on adjustments as necessary. 5. Financial Reporting and Communication Prepare regular financial reports for the Board, CEO, and other stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on financial performance. Present financial updates and analysis to the Board and relevant committees. Manage relationships with external partners, including banks, investment advisors, and regulatory bodies. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports. Budget adherence and variance control. Successful completion of audits with minimal findings. Achievement of liquidity and reserve targets. On offer here is a salary, which is completely negotiable (circa £40k ) and the opportunity to take complete control of the financial aspects of this company.
