We seek an individual to join a small team of Local Nature Reserve Officers as part of the Countryside Access Team. You will be responsible for managing a range of Local Nature Reserves and an array of habitats, coastal sites, woodland, and parkland landscapes, alongside smaller picnic sites.
We seek an excellent communicator with good organisational and IT skills together with experience in:
* habitat management, woodland management, and grounds maintenance
* landscaping, grounds maintenance work, and site surveys
* organising small scale works, liaising with volunteers, and the community sector
* managing contractors
You must be able to work on your own initiative, identify tasks, and be comfortable lone working in remote countryside. Duties will also include using a range of machinery and equipment; therefore, a committed approach to health and safety is essential.
Based at Driffield, Market Weighton, Goole, or Carnaby. You will be required to travel across East Riding of Yorkshire for which a vehicle will be provided.
Hours: 37 per week with some weekend and evening work.
