Community Development Officer - Children and Families
Location: Salisbury
Salary: £26,409 – £28,624 (pro rata for part time)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, to include Monday (phone number removed), Wednesday 09.30 – 17.30, Thursday 12 – 17.30.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working to support children and families to become part of a team passionate team working together to make positive change in the Salisbury Community.
The community development team delivers supportive group settings, projects connecting people to opportunities and services that help people access the information and support they need in the city.
This role focuses on safe space creation for children up to the age of 12 and parents of those children, you will lead on after school clubs (KS2) and family holiday activities as well as working with partners to deliver parent and child groups for under 5s. You will work with the wider team on one off events and projects including trips, fundays, celebrations and workshops.
We are looking for people who:
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with a variety of people with a variety of needs and outlooks
* Experience of delivering community-based projects or sessions, ideally including working with volunteers
* Experience of creating projects or activities in response to the needs of the participants
* Sound understanding of issues of safeguarding and of the barriers faced by people from disadvantaged groups
* Experience of evaluating community projects for effectiveness and impact
* Proven experience of administrative and clerical duties
