As the sole UI/UX designer in the team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the design direction of both business-facing tools like our CRM, used by 300 staff to manage customer data, and customer-facing products such as MyFluent used by 10k monthly active users, our highly rated (4.7/5) portal that guides borrowers through every step of their loan application process. A key part of this role involves conducting user and customer research to understand pain points, behaviors, and needs. You will leverage insights from user interviews, feedback, and usability testing to drive data-informed design decisions, ensuring our products are both functional and delightful to use. Collaborating closely with the Business Analyst, product teams, and stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into user-friendly designs that enhance workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve stakeholder engagement. Your role will involve leading the design process, from wireframes and prototypes to final high-fidelity designs, ensuring consistency and usability across all platforms. This is a hybrid role with an expectation to be in the office 1 day every 10 days, aligning with the bi-weekly sprint planning and review sessions. As a UI/UX Designer, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to; Lead the UI/UX design process across our applications, ensuring consistency, usability, and a user-centered approach in every design decision. Collaborate with Business Analysis and Product teams to translate business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that meet both user and business needs. Conduct user research, stakeholder workshops, and usability testing to gather insights and refine designs based on real user feedback. Develop and maintain a design system to standardize UI components, interactions, and ensure scalability across all applications. Work closely with developers to ensure designs are feasible, accessible, and scalable, while aligning with technical constraints. Advocate for UX best practices and foster a user-centered design culture across the business, guiding stakeholders through the adoption of more efficient, user-friendly solutions. Provide design support during Agile sprints, iterating based on feedback and user testing to ensure the best possible product outcomes. Contribute to strategic discussions on product improvements and user-centric innovation, shaping both the design direction and broader business goals. Role Requirements Proven experience as a Senior UI/UX Designer, with a strong focus on B2C solutions, preferably business-facing platforms like CRMs used for managing customer data and engagement. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design deliverables, including user-centered design processes, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs. Proficiency in Figma, as it is the primary design tool currently used within the team, along with experience in other industry-standard design software. Experience working within Agile product teams, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to deliver impactful designs. Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles, ensuring designs are inclusive and adaptable across all platforms. Ability to conduct and interpret user research, including interviews, usability testing, and stakeholder workshops, to inform and validate design decisions. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to educate and advocate for user-centered design practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable Experience in the financial services industry or with loan brokerage platforms.
