We are recruiting a qualified Nurse to join our team as a Regional Nurse Manager in the Nottingham area. Your caseload will predominantly be paediatric clients. The role will be home-based, where you will manage your own diary to ensure the needs of the client and business are met (Monday-Friday).
Main duties of the job
1. Completing clinical assessments, care planning, Risk Assessments, monthly audits and care package reviews.
2. Completing and investigating incident reports where appropriate, with the support of the Director of Nursing and the Registered Manager.
3. Work effectively with the wider nursing and administrative team to source, recruit and develop a wide ranging and varied complex care team to meet the needs of each individual client. Ensuring the team members are skilled, confident and well supported to deliver excellent care.
4. Provide on call cover for a week on a rotational basis for emergency call handling for out of hours clinical advice and support.
5. With support, manage a caseload based on flexible principles and prioritise the care needs of clients.

4. Develop, improve, and promote the service ensuring the delivery of high quality, cost effective care.
5. Work closely with community and relevant network, other hospital and community staff to ensure an effective seamless service.
6. Provide on call cover for a week on a rotational basis for emergency call handling for out of hours clinical advice and support.
7. Ensure appropriate procedures are in place/adhered to/measured for all clinical risk management.
8. Ensure robust and well planned/researched audits are carried out effectively and regularly.
9. Contact the Client on a weekly basis to ensure that they have the opportunity to report any concerns.

1. Participate in the planning and delivery of formal and informal education programmes for clients, carers and all appropriate staff.
2. Ensure that professional knowledge and practice is constantly updated.

4. Maintain NMC registration & training requirements for the role.
5. Identify with the Director of Nursing a personal development plan in line with Health & Social Care Services objectives and your personal need.
6. Take responsibility and accountability to upskill oneself to meet the needs of their clients.
Leadership and Management:
1. Manage diary flexibly to meet the needs of your clients and the business between Monday to Friday and weekends at discretion.
2. Provide mentorship and coaching to new Nurse Managers as agreed with the Director of Nursing.
Person Specification
Experience
* Appropriate post registration experience in ICU/HDU.
* Appropriate proven leadership and management experience.
* Community complex care experience.
* Proven commitment and experience, evidence in teaching.
* Experience as preceptor/mentor.
* Experience of undertaking research or audit projects.
* Evidence of commitment to research-based practice or evidence of project work undertaken.
Qualifications
* Active NMC Registration.
* Degree in Nursing.
* Relevant accredited post registration qualification at level 3 or working towards.
* Qualification in Teaching and Assessing.
