Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join our team on a full-time basis for a 3-month booking, with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will provide expert musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy services, working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with musculoskeletal conditions to identify their physical needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
2. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to manage pain, improve mobility, and enhance functional abilities.
3. Rehabilitation: Develop and implement rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring effective recovery and prevention of further injury.
4. Patient Education: Educate patients on their conditions, treatment plans, and self-management strategies to promote active participation in their recovery.
5. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other allied health staff, to provide integrated care.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes.
7. Caseload Management: Manage a defined caseload independently, ensuring effective prioritisation and time management to meet service demands.
8. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in MSK physiotherapy practices.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
2. Registration: Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3. Experience: Significant experience working as a physiotherapist with a focus on musculoskeletal conditions.
4. Competencies: Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and management of patients with MSK conditions.
5. Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectively under pressure.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
1. Advanced Practice: Further training or certifications in MSK physiotherapy or related fields.
2. Leadership Skills: Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff and contributing to team development.
