Hays are currently supporting a primary school in the Skelmersdale area, in their search to appoint a Year 6 Class Teacher from September until Christmas as a minimum. The school are looking for an experienced KS2 teacher who cane in and hit the ground running, demonstrate a creative and purposeful approach to lesson planning and someone who can show passion and enthusiasm. You will be joining a supportive network of staff and will have an experienced TA on hand to help with the class.
Your new role
In the role of class teacher, you will be responsible for planning and preparing fun and engaging lessons, tracking pupils' progress by marking work and setting assessments, as well asmunicating this progress with parents. As this is a Year 6 class, you will also be responsible for preparing this class for their SAT’s, and you should have good knowledge of KS2, particularly Maths, English and Science, in order to support pupils. This school is looking for a confident teacher who cane in and make a lasting impact on this class. NQTs/ECTs are also wee to apply for this role.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with recent experience in primary education and working knowledge of Year 6 or KS. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECT's and NQT's are wee to apply.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a market leading rate of pay (day rate) for the first 3 months. Upon successfulpletion of this 3-month period, you will be paid in accordance with the main teacher pay scale, based on your previous teaching roles.
