About the job
Salary: £ 24,027 to £24,404 per annum, £11,201 to £11,377 (pro rata for part time) entitlement to Saturday Enhancement to working 3.5 hours for 1 in 2 Saturdays.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Part time 17 hours and 15 minutes

Storrington Library is situated just off the High Street in this vibrant town at the base of the picturesque South Downs.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and resourceful individual, with excellent digital skills. You will be the go-to person for customers at the library, providing high quality assistance with their questions and guiding them to other services as needed.
It's not just about the books! We are looking for someone who understands the power of community and the importance of fostering a love for reading in people of all ages. You will, after training, take turns in running our Rhyme Time & Toddler Time sessions and also helping with our other exciting library programmes such as Knit and Natter, Reading Friends, school holiday activities and assist with class visits to the library.

About you
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills! Customer service is at the forefront of the library service, as it plays an important role in creating a vibrant and dynamic workplace. It requires flexibility, creativity, and initiative from those who work there. This could mean helping a customer log-on to the library Wi-Fi or a reading recommendation.
You will be a dedicated team player, ready to collaborate with other services and volunteers. A passion for digital expertise and experience, especially with basic Office applications, is essential.
