Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Southwark, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £25-30 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one mentoring to children facing behavioural challenges.
Support and guide young people to develop positive behaviours and essential life skills.
Work closely with schools, families, and community organisations to create a comprehensive support network.
Monitor progress, document improvements, and offer constructive feedback to all stakeholders.
Implement effective strategies to deter negative influences and promote positive decision-making.Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a mentor supporting children with behavioural problems.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a youth work setting is highly desirable.
Extensive experience working directly with children with complex SEN or behavioural challenges.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake, an enhanced DBS check.Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Counselling certification is preferred.
PGCE in a core subject and/or QTS is desirable.
Proven ability to work effectively with children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those struggling with behaviour due to external influences.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for mentoring and supporting vulnerable youth.Email (url removed) for more info!
