Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Staffing Advisor to join the Medical Staffing team at UHLG.
For this role, we are looking for candidates who have knowledge of medical terms and conditions that can provide expert advice and support to our medical workforce. You will be a key link for divisional management teams in all matters relating to our medical workforce.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive expert and professional Medical HR service on all employment matters relating to medical staff employed at UHLG and will provide support to Divisional management teams in developing their medical workforce plans to ensure that a systematic approach is taken to the management and recruitment of their medical workforce to include Resident Doctor rotations, rostering and management of sickness absence.
The post holder will act as the first point of contact for managers and staff for all Medical HR queries, providing advice and a consistent, professional and effective human resource service in relation to medical staffing issues offering solutions to service users in accordance with Trust policy, employment law and agreed service levels.
You should have the ability to pro-actively support short and long term projects, be able to adjust to changing work environments whilst managing conflicting priorities.

* CIPD Qualification (Level 5) or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria
* Demonstrable experience of working in an office environment at an operational level with some supervision but able to work on own initiative.
* Specialised Medical staffing experience and/or Generalist NHS HR experience
* Experience of using Allocate software for monitoring of Resident Doctor rotas
* Ability to work on own initiative and cope well under pressure
Desirable criteria
* Experience of using HR and Payroll systems
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Understanding of HR policy and best practice and Employment Law
* Excellent knowledge of Resident Doctor Terms and Conditions of Service, in particular 2016 contract and New Deal
* Excellent knowledge of WTD to enable rota work and monitoring compliance
