Infrastructure / Drainage Engineer / Senior Engineer / Technician – Edinburgh
Exciting Opportunity with a Leading Engineering Consultancy – Permanent Role
Our client, a well-established and highly respected engineering consultancy, is looking for an experienced Infrastructure / Drainage Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Technician to join their Edinburgh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects across the UK within a thriving and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare site appraisals and feasibility assessments for engineering infrastructure.
*
Review and ensure compliance of designs, documents, and drawings.
*
Liaise with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
*
Attend design meetings, site meetings, and conduct site inspections.
*
Ensure all work aligns with the company’s Quality Management System.
*
Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to junior team members.
*
Work independently and collaboratively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
*
Produce and review CAD and 3D modelling.
*
Comply with health and safety policies and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
*
BSc, BEng, or MEng in Civil Engineering with 5+ years post-graduate experience or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering with 8+ years experience.
*
Membership of a relevant professional body (EngTech, ICE, CIHT) desirable.
*
Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civils 3D, InfoWorks, PDS, Causeway Flow, or MicroDrainage.
*
Knowledge of infrastructure design at concept, feasibility, and construction levels.
*
Familiarity with UK design standards (DMRB, Sewers for Scotland, CIRIA SuDS Manual, SCOTS National Roads Development Guide).
*
Experience in designing adopted drainage and highways.
*
Strong project management and communication skills.
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
*
A full, clean UK driving license.
