Working as a Senior Industrial Engineer, you will work alongside a team of engineers to identify and drive improvement opportunities in multiple Distribution Centres (DC) across the adidas network. Industry-wide knowledge of manual and automated distribution centres is a requirement in this role as well as an understanding of current trends within these fields.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising industrial processes within the adidas DC network. You will lead the verification and validation of proposals from 3rd Party vendors throughout the tender phase for new or expanding DCs, as well as delivering support and guidance through the implementation, testing, and stabilisation phases for the 3PL.
You will be responsible for optimizing existing processes, improving productivity, and lowering unit costs across the adidas DC network. You will identify and evaluate bottlenecks within the material flow of the DC and develop improvement plans to improve or reduce the impact of the flow.
You’ll need …
The ability to conduct a technical evaluation of the DC with regards to understanding the facility design, material flow, process design, capacities, and constraints. Using this knowledge to develop a robust business case to improve efficiency of the DC using established or innovative systems that are available.
The candidate will have a wide understanding of WMS, WCS, WES systems and how they interact and control the material flow within the DC.

* Broad and deep knowledge of engineering and distribution operations combining theoretical and practical knowledge.
* Excellent communication skills to enable close collaboration with Distribution Centre heads as well as the local onsite Lean Teams.
* Advanced ability to analyze complex processes and drive positive change.
* Thorough understanding of improvement tools such as SIXSIGMA, Kaizen, 5S, and time and motion studies.
* Design experience within an automated distribution centre is essential.
