Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to join an established, growing, award-winning Contractor with a great reputation?
We are working with a well-established, family-feel regional Contractor who has a great culture, values, and a healthy forward order book of work. The company works on a number of frameworks as well as standalone contracts for a variety of Housing Providers and Councils throughout the North West, particularly within renewables/retrofit of tenanted properties.
They are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis, to add to their close-knit, hardworking team based in Wigan with sites to be based across Greater Manchester & Lancashire.
Duties will include:
1. Assist in the preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders
2. Assist in the development of the procurement programme
3. Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects
4. Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative
5. Prepare monthly valuation reports for the Management team
6. Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time
7. Value and authorise payments to subcontractors
8. Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements
9. Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers, and the Client to establish project specifications and requirements
10. Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and/or Clients/Customers when necessary
11. Monitor the contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale
12. Assist in the control of individual contract budgets
13. Ensure all necessary contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time.
The successful candidate will either come from a Social Housing, Plumbing, or Renewables background and be able to demonstrate a stable and progressive career on their CV.
In return, you will benefit from a remuneration package which includes a competitive basic salary dependent upon level and experience + company car or allowance.
