An opportunity has arisen within the Sponsorship, Operational Capability and Transformation Division of the Primary Care Directorate for a Senior Sponsorship and Operational Capability Manager to support the sponsorship of NHS 24. Our Division is responsible for sponsorship of two National, patient facing Boards in the Scottish Ambulance Service and NHS 24 as they deliver essential care and support to the people of Scotland and drive forward Service improvements. This is an exciting time to be joining the Division and the Primary Care Directorate as we shape the future of Primary Care in Scotland and design our ways of working with both our National Boards playing a key role in these developments. We have a strong focus on wellbeing, collaboration and teamwork in how we go about our work. Responsibilities: Promoting the work of NHS24 and facilitate wider SG engagement with the Board to ensure that they are involved in work programmes and initiatives as necessary in line with Ministerial priorities. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with NHS24 to ensure good communication and working relations. Leading work with NHS24 to progress agreed actions to support performance improvements and emerging priorities, working with the Board, other stakeholders and SG colleagues. Supporting work with NHS24s role in developing mental health service improvements and the Divisional input into the Mental Health Oversight Group. Leading work on supporting digital colleagues on work with NHS24 to improve NHS Inform, ensuring that work is aligned to the wider NHS reform agenda. Ensuring all drafts of briefing, PQs, FMQs are high quality, concise, accurate and require minimal amendment. Providing concise and timely responses to media requests as necessary. Leading the work required to plan and deliver the quarterly formal sponsorship meetings including the mid-year and annual review processes, ensuring that agendas, papers and concise briefing are prepared in advance, and that input is sought from across the DG to ensure constructive and robust challenge to the Board. Working with the SG planning team on the development of the annual and winter planning process, liaising with NHS24 to ensure that they are clear on requirements and can feed in any improvements as necessary. Analysing plans, identifying any issues and risks and highlighting and following up on these with the relevant teams, providing collated feedback to the Board in advance of final plans being submitted by the Board. Drafting sign off letters for issue by the Director.
