We are working with a manufacturer based in Redditch who arelooking to hire an electrical bias engineer.
Youwill manage all aspects of maintenance for the site, includingequipment. This is a 'hands on' maintenance position that worksclosely with production to achieve production and quality to ensurecontinuity of the process.
On Offer:
* 37.5 hours per week
* 5:30pm –6.00am
* Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
* Overtime x1.4
* 17 days annual leave raising to 18
Experience needed:
* Experience working inan FMCG environment
* Must be Electrically Bias
* Experience of Pneumatics, PLC, tracks Rollers
Duties:
* To maintain all theplant, equipment, buildings and related infrastructure, includingplanned and reactive maintenance, to the required Quality, Health andSafety and Environmental standards.
* Ensure that machinery isready for use at start up, support where needed.
* Ensure thatall maintenance, repairs, improvements and developments are undertakensafely, efficiently, effectively and at minimum cost across allaspects of the sites equipment, processes, site services andbuildings.
* To ensure that contractors under engineeringcontrol follow instructions correctly in order to minimise risk ofhealth and safety and environmental incidents.
* To devise,develop, modify and improve maintenance procedures in line withmanufacturers’ recommendations and the knowledge of group and siteexperience.
* To assist with process and production tocontinuously improve operations, safety and to minimise waste andenergy.
* Effective communication with Production and Quality.To work closely and meet regularly with team leaders and managers fromoperations to understand their needs and objectives.
* Toensure that maintenance records and relevant documentation are kept upto date and retrievable for internal use, customer requirements, andstatutory purposes and to ensure that critical equipment andinstruments are maintained and calibrated to ensure compliance withthe standard requirements.
* To ensure that health and safetyequipment is used where required, and instructions followed.
* To liaise with production and quality staff to ensure thatany engineering activities on equipment, with the risk of affecting,quality, or legality, is checked for satisfactory completion andcleaning and signed off before the equipment is used.
