Job summary Dispenser at Rosedean Surgery Are you a dedicated and experienced Dispenser looking to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and reliable individual to join our team at Rosedean Surgery. As a Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, while providing exceptional service to our patients. Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities: Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all medicines and appliances are dispensed in accordance with prescriptions. Maintain high standards in stock control and manage the storage of medications, including refrigerated items. Handle prescription charges, patient exemption statements, and cash transactions, ensuring all financial records are maintained correctly. Collaborate with GPs, prescribing clinicians, and the clinical pharmacist to resolve any prescription-related queries. Endorse prescription forms and forward them securely to NHS Prescription Services for processing and reimbursement. Respond promptly to drug alerts and escalate safety concerns, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Support other dispensary functions, as required, and undertake additional duties to contribute to the smooth running of the practice.
