Department - Colleague & Collaboration, CTO
In this role, you will:
1. Provide direct oversight of the programme(s)/project(s)’ financial and outcome accountability, reporting to a Portfolio Manager within CTO.
2. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within IT, Global Businesses, and Finance.
3. Work closely with their respective Portfolio Manager and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of their project/programme with the wider change portfolio and group strategy, values, and behaviour.
4. Provide board-level overview of progress, lead and direct multidisciplinary teams across all global businesses, functions, and regions.
5. Lead end-to-end execution and responsibility for all aspects of the project/programme, including definition, planning, execution & implementation, governance & control, financial, resource, and change management.
6. Provide financial analysis, including contextualizing financial data into business activities and conclusions.
7. Ensure adherence to financial processes and procedures at the project/programme level, as set by HSBC Group, regulators, and CTO PPM Practice.
8. Own the identification and escalation of any budgetary risks, issues, and opportunities to the portfolio/function as appropriate.
9. Be responsible for effective handover of the project/programme into Business-as-Usual operations to support benefits realization.
10. Deploy Business Transformation Frameworks and methodologies within their Programme/Project and instill good disciplines within their teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
1. 15+ years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5+ years in project and programme management.
2. Excellent understanding and proven experience of Programme and Project Management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
3. Ability to direct and influence people in a matrix environment and establish partnerships at various organizational levels.
4. Proven experience of positive interactions with Senior Executives across the business.
5. Outstanding relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
7. Change agent with experience implementing large-scale organizational, procedural, technology, and people-related change programmes.
8. Ability to articulate complex issues simply, recognizing the global scope of this role.
9. Expertise in managing and resolving technical blockers for projects/programmes.
10. Strong financial analytical skills, capable of contextualizing financial data into business conclusions.
11. Experience delivering large-scale change programmes within a Technology organization, including Infrastructure experience.
12. High motivation and drive to ensure delivery across multiple outputs.
13. Leadership experience with diverse, cross-functional teams globally.
14. Experience in driving continuous improvement.
15. Prior experience managing end-to-end projects (~$5m).
16. Optional but beneficial: Knowledge of Landing Zones (Cloud), Collaboration tools, Hardware, and Software Management tools.
Skillsets required:
