Electrical Operations Manager Location: North West Salary: Competitive (DOE) Car / allowance Here at NPP, we are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, large-scale M&E client known for delivering excellence across a variety of high-profile projects for a driven, forward thinking Electrical Operations Manager. This exciting role involves managing a diverse portfolio of electrical projects, leading skilled teams, and driving the profitability and success of operations within the FMCG manufacturing sector. Role Responsibilities Project Management: Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. Plan resources and manage electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standards. Create detailed estimates and tenders for electrical project activities. Team & Resource Management: Lead and mentor teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors. Conduct performance reviews and provide training to support professional growth. Forecast and optimise labour resources for effective project delivery. Client Relations: Serve as the primary contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. Address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction. Play a key role in business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with BS 7671, NICEIC practices, and industry regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain the highest safety standards. P&L Responsibility: Manage project budgets and financial performance to maximise profitability. Develop strategies to increase revenue while controlling costs. Industry Expertise: Apply technical knowledge to design and optimise electrical systems for the FMCG manufacturing sector. Key focus areas include raw ingredient handling, material processing, and packing systems. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in electrical systems and processes. Requirements Qualifications: Apprentice-trained in Electrical Engineering/Installation. HNC or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Inspection & Testing (2391). Project management qualifications (SSSTS/SMSTS desirable) Experience: Minimum of 10 years in electrical installations, maintenance, and project management within the FMCG sector. Proven track record in leading teams and managing budgets. Expertise in control panel fabrication and software integration. Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management. Strong financial acumen and project management abilities. Effective communication and client-facing skills. Why Join?
