Job summary The post holder will be working as a Consultant Psychiatrist on Campion Unit. Please see job description and person specification for further details. Main duties of the job As Consultant Psychiatrist, the postholder will have the following responsibilities: Consultant medical responsibility for the diagnosis/management and treatment of allocated patients. Supervision of other medical staff attached to the team and multidisciplinary team working with nursing staff and other mental health professionals. To provide medical leadership to the inpatient services whilst working closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary clinical team, particularly the Ward Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist and the ward team. The post holder is expected to arrange cross cover with the other Consultant Psychiatrists in the Learning Disability Service.
