Job Title: History Teacher
Location: South Warwickshire
Salary: £140-£240 per day depending on experience and qualification.
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Temporary

Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed History Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will bring the past to life, helping students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a curiosity about the world. Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inspiring History lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Teach a range of historical topics and themes, encouraging critical analysis of evidence, sources, and interpretations.
* Support students in preparing for GCSE and/or A-Level History, providing tailored support to meet their needs.
* Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, debate, and a love for learning.
Student Development:
* Motivate students to achieve their full potential through differentiated teaching and learning strategies.
* Develop students’ critical thinking and independent research skills, encouraging them to form their own informed opinions.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
Contributions to the School Community:
* Participate actively in department meetings, curriculum planning, and school-wide initiatives.
* Contribute to the development of the History curriculum, ensuring it remains current, inclusive, and engaging.
* Support extracurricular activities such as History clubs, trips, or competitions that enrich students’ learning experiences.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
* A degree in History or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching History.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching History at Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5.
* A proven track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
* Experience organizing or contributing to History-focused extracurricular activities.
