If you’ve got excellent interpersonal communication skills and can build positive relationships with foster parents and children’s social workers, we can offer you a rewarding career within TLC Wales Fostering.
TLC Wales Fostering provides family foster placements for children aged 0–18 years who have a diagnosed medical condition and/or disability. TLC Wales meets the needs of a range of children, some of whom have life limiting conditions and some who have profound physical disabilities while others have complex needs.
Our Supervising Social Workers are experienced in the field of disability. They build positive relationships between TLC, the foster parent, the child, and the child’s social worker. It is a key role that helps our foster carers achieve longevity and stability of placement for the children.
You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to enable foster parents to be informed, accept, understand, and operate within the regulations and national minimum standards and in accordance with Caretech Group policies and guidance.
We aim to create an environment where all people feel valued and can grow, develop, and achieve their goals. We work to ensure that TLC is an organisation that thrives on the diversity of its staff, families, and children to assist and care for those most vulnerable and advocate on their behalf.
Working full time, you will be primarily home-based with travel throughout East Wales - Newport, Cardiff, and surrounding areas. You will be based from home with 1 day per week in Crosshands, attending meetings, participating in C/YP activities, carer support days, and recruiting new carers.
