Macgregor Black are partnering with a Dynamic & Innovative SME Consumer Goods Brand, on the search for a Financial Director.
As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in the business, taking full ownership of the financial operations and ensuring robust financial management across the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide leadership, insight, and hands-on execution, ensuring financial performance aligns with strategic objectives while driving operational excellence across the organisation. This is a full-time role based in Newcastle upon-Tyne, supporting the business through an exciting phase of growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute the financial strategy, aligning with business objectives and driving value creation.
* Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reports, ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Lead system and process optimisation initiatives, including ERP improvements, to enhance data accuracy, reporting, and forecasting capabilities.
* Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership team to provide actionable insights, guiding decision-making across commercial, operational, and product development functions.
* Drive initiatives to optimise costs, improve margins, and maximise profitability across the product portfolio.
* Build and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative culture that prioritises accountability, innovation, and professional development.
What We're Looking For?
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with significant post-qualification experience in senior financial leadership roles.
* Demonstrated success in leading finance functions through transformation, including system optimisation and process improvement.
* Ability to combine technical financial expertise with commercial curiosity to provide insights that drive business performance.
* Proactive, practical, and detail-oriented approach to leading financial operations while engaging in day-to-day execution.
* Strong IT and ERP expertise, with the ability to leverage systems for enhanced efficiency and decision-making.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
