Are you an experienced and dynamic school leader looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an exceptional Principal to lead our school, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning, strong leadership, and a nurturing environment for learners and staff alike.
About the Role
As Principal, you will have full operational responsibility for the school, driving excellence in education while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. You will lead a dedicated team, manage school finances, and oversee curriculum development to support student achievement. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering high-quality education and a strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the school.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, and education regulations.
* Lead and develop the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and wider staffing team.
* Oversee curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
* Drive financial sustainability while maintaining high educational standards.
* Foster strong relationships with parents, local authorities, and external partners.
* Monitor student performance, ensuring appropriate interventions where necessary.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Represent the school at industry events and within the wider community.
What We’re Looking For:
* Must have working knowledge of the independent school’s standards.
* A highly motivated and experienced education professional with experience teaching in an SEN setting.
* Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification leadership experience.
* Must have an Enhanced DBS and follow the school’s safeguarding policies.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and quality assurance.
* Proven experience in school financial management and budget oversight.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
* A passion for supporting learners with additional learning needs.
* Ability to drive school improvement strategies and maintain high standards.
