An opportunity has arisen with Chelmer Medical Partnership in Chelmsford, for an experienced, part-time prescription clerk, to work 20 hours per week to join our friendly prescription team. This key role will be based at Humber Road surgery and is responsible for managing and processing prescriptions for patients in a timely manner.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible to work extra hours covering colleagues' sickness and holiday absence.
Main duties of the job
* Ensuring a safe and efficient operation by processing repeat prescriptions via email, online or in person.
* Liaising with our GPs, clinical pharmacists, and community pharmacies regarding queries and requests.
* Managing enquiries from patients.
* Providing patient education and advice where appropriate.

* Previous experience working within a similar role.

* General practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne essential.
