Duties and Responsibilities Carrying out and record daily maintenance, servicing and pre-use checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies. Ensuring their surgery is prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations. Being aware of the microbiological hazards that exist in a dental surgery and ensure they are familiar with the DPHC (D) IPC policy and the guidance published by the Department of Health and the British Dental Association. Providing dental hygiene treatment in line with their approved scope of practice as per GDC guidelines and in accordance with agreed patient group directive (PGD).
